Tomamos el nombre -rihihiu- del grito que se utilizaba en la zona del Montsi\u00e0 para comunicarse entre fincas de olivos vecinos. Era un grito estridente, agudo y prolongado que serv\u00eda para avisar de que las personas hab\u00edan llegado a la finca y que pod\u00edan quedar para compartir una comida, tocar instrumentos o contar historias junto al fuego. De hecho, este grito con una finalidad comunicativa toma diferentes formas, todas similares entre s\u00ed, dependiendo del territorio y la cultura donde se ubique. Actualmente tenemos noticias de gritos similares en Ibiza, Pa\u00eds Vasco, Gomera o Asturias. Los estudiosos de la lengua tambi\u00e9n detectan gritos que podr\u00edan recordarnos el rihihio en la cultura \u00e1rabe o la hebrea.
